Paris is full of beautiful parks, boulevards, and cafes that sparkle with romance, but some of the most cherished lovers’ spots are the bridges. There are 34 bridges in Paris, and some of these bridges have become particularly popular.

Here Are Some of the Most Romantic Bridges in the City

Pont des Arts. This is a wooden bridge for pedestrians that will lead you to the Louvre. It offers spectacular views of the city, including the Eiffel Tower. You are sure to enjoy the view with your partner as the sun goes down on the Seine. It is also a spot known for its “lovers locks” — a tradition in Paris that continues despite the government’s recent initiative to rid the bridge of the lovers’ keepsakes.

Pont Neuf. This is yet another romantic bridge across the Seine in Paris. Built many years ago and restored later, this overpass offers a spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower, the Institut de France, and the Louvre. The bridge links the western end of Ile de la Cite and is split into twin sections with twin spans.

Le Pont Alexandre III. Many Parisians would tell you that this one is probably the most romantic of them all. It was built to commemorate the Russian-French amity and named after the Russian Tsar Alexandre III. The lamp posts here are decorated by many nymphs and cherubs.

Pont du Carrousel. Take this bridge to reach the Carrousel du Louvre between the Tuileries Gardens and the Louvre. You can get amazing views from the Carrousel. You can get an extended view to the Place de la Concorde, Tuileries Gardens and the Champs Elysees. It looks great whether you are seeing it in the day or the night.
