In 1933, Robert Doisneau took his first photo in Les Halles district. In love with this "stomach of Paris", the photographer focused on the negative trends and developments in the area. As part of the exhibition Doisneau, Paris les Halles vintage prints and color photographs will be presented to visitors.
Among the many photographs that Robert Doisneau devoted to Les Halles district from 1933 to his death, 208 prints, mostly vintage, will be presented to the public. A room devoted to color photographs of the 1960s, will take a fresh look at both Les Halles and the work of the photographer. The exhibition shows the life, color and character of the area between the 30s and 70s.
