Interactive site for "Métronome, l'histoire de France au rythme du métro parisien"

After the huge success of Métronome, l’histoire de France au rythme du métro parisien (Metronome, the history of France to the rhythm of the Paris metro) author Lorant Deutsch adapts his book for television with a documentary series in four episodes that will air on France 5 starting Sunday, April 8. For the occasion, the channel has created an interactive site that immerses visitors in the history of Paris. With interactive maps and videos, stroll back in time and explore the capital.

Did you you know Paris produces its own wine, cultivated from vineyards within the city? The Vigne du parc Georges-Brassens, Vigne du parc de Belleville, Vigne du parc de Bercy and Vigne de Montmartre are the principle vineyards in Paris (out of a total of 12).

In 1993 photographer Janol Apin carried out a rather unusual series of photos on the Paris metro.

Collected in a book entitled "Métropolisson", each photo depicts different scenarios in front of subway station signs._
